Healthcare Academi Cymru is the training arm of ProCare Nursing, based at Radnor Court in Canton, Cardiff. Our trainers have more than 30 years of combined experience in health and social care, and they hold the accreditations and qualifications their roles demand.
We train at our Cardiff hub and at clients’ venues across Wales.

Training Operations Manager and Physical Interventions Lead
Twelve years in HM Armed Forces and eighteen in HM Prison Service, including training new officers. Accredited trainer with the Institute of Conflict Management and BILD, with a Level 4 teaching qualification in physical interventions.
Training Facilitator and Wellbeing Champion
Over ten years of clinical experience as a support worker and assistant psychologist, and nine years teaching. BSc, MSc and PhD in psychology. Bilingual, and an accredited ICM and BILD trainer.
Health and Social Care Training Facilitator
Twenty years in social care, specialising in mental health. Accredited NVQ assessor and IOSH-qualified manual handling trainer who specialises in the All Wales Manual Handling Passport.

All our PMVA syllabus options are accredited by the ICM, and the techniques have been reviewed by independent medical experts as the ICM requires.
Our training is certified to the Restraint Reduction Network standards. Championing human rights is at the heart of our work.
Our Safer People Handling courses follow the All Wales Manual Handling Passport guidelines and are delivered by IOSH-qualified trainers.
Our trainers and syllabus are registered with the AoHT and follow its Code of Ethics.
Every trainer holds a Level 3 Award in Education and Training and is registered with the Education Workforce Council.
